Wellness Services

We utilize the following techniques to ensure the longevity of our patients:

The physical exam is the first step to ensuring pet wellness. Veterinarians will, on average, discover at least three health concerns unknown by the pet owner upon presentation to the clinic. A comprehensive physical exam will include an evaluation of the pet’s body systems, including:

  • An eye exam with an ophthalmoscope
  • An ear exam with an otoscope
  • A heart auscultation with a stethoscope
  • Abdominal palpation
  • Evaluation of other body systems (teeth, skin, coat, vital signs, body condition, and joints)

Our veterinarians are equipped with the facilities and experience to diagnose and treat diseases inside the body, such as:

  • Pancreatitis
  • Kidney/Urinary disease
  • Internal infections
  • Cancer
  • Diseases of the liver
  • Diseases of the gallbladder
  • Endocrine issues (ie. Diabetes, Adrenal, Thyroid)
  • Heart disease

Preventative bloodwork and other laboratory screenings, such as urinalysis, are often recommended at annual exams. Routine laboratory screenings can alert the veterinarian to potentially threatening trends of the internal organs. Frequent and consistent testing can help to detect and treat diseases and other health issues as early as possible.

While routine veterinary care is important, we know that pets spend most of their time at home with their families. Our veterinarians and support staff are committed to partnering with pet parents to answer questions and provide guidance on at-home pet care.
