Welcome to Berthoud Animal Hospital! As a first-time client, here is what you can expect:
Appointment Information
We operate primarily by appointment. This structure allows our veterinarians to provide high-quality medical care to our patients during their examinations and scheduled procedures. We do also see emergency appointments on a walk-in basis during business hours. Please note that emergency situations will receive top priority and occasional appointment delay is possible.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be checked in and escorted into an exam room. The technician will be in shortly to take a history on your pet and ask about their current health status. The veterinarian will follow thereafter to evaluate your pet, perform a comprehensive physical exam, and discuss any diagnoses or treatment plans with you.
Pet Arrivals
Our top priority is the safety and health of our patients. This is why we require that all vaccinations for our patients be up to date. Please be sure to restrain your pet when you arrive at the hospital. All dogs are required to be on a leash and all cats should be in a carrier in the waiting room.
Payment Procedure
All services and pricing will be discussed with you prior to performing any treatments or procedures. Estimates are also available upon request. We require full payment at the time that services are rendered, and we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash and personal checks. Our hospital also accepts Credit Care and payment plans through Scratchpay. Please ask us for more information about these options, if needed.
Drop-Off Appointments
For the convenience of our clients, we do offer drop-off appointments if requested. These appointments allow our clients to drop off their pet in the morning and schedule a reserved appointment slot with a veterinarian for evaluation later in the day. The doctor will call you once your pet’s assessment is complete to discuss their findings and any further discharge instructions or treatment recommendations. A pickup time will be scheduled for your convenience at a time later in the day during our normal business hours.
