Nancy Field-Bruce, Practice Manager
Nancy has always enjoyed working with animals in one way or another. She had her own rescue group in California and worked with her husband in his mixed animal practice. When he retired in 2013, he wanted to come back to Colorado where he grew up. Nancy loves working in the front office at Berthoud Animal Hospital. It gives her a chance to set the tone for the client and patient and help the doctors and staff and make their day easier. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and her pets, reading and quilting.
Allison Milliger, Lead Veterinary Technician
A Colorado native, Allison has always had an interest in caring for animals. After starting her animal care adventure as a kennel technician at 16 years old, she continued her journey - first becoming a veterinary technician followed by accepting the challenge of the Lead Technician at Berthoud Animal Hospital. Allison enjoys surgery and helping every animal that walks through our doors. In her free time she enjoys camping with her chihuahua Frito and terrier Lulu, riding her dirt bike, hiking, gardening, and any outdoor adventure.
Kristie McFarland, Veterinary Technician
Kristie moved from Missouri to Colorado for a change of scenery and to get back to what she loves- working in a small animal hospital. She has worked in many aspects of animal care since receiving her Bachelors in Science (Biology). She loves being able to help patients sustain long and healthy lives. She also enjoys being part of a team that strives to be on the cutting edge of medicine. She shares her home with her husband Jason, two dogs (Packy, a cocker spaniel and Cici, a Beagle), a cat named Emma Jean and guinea pigs named Henny Penny and Axel. She plans on working towards obtaining her veterinary technician's certification this upcoming year.
